Dr. Markus Fischer

Since September 2011 I work as class teacher of the gymnasial classes 5 and 6 as well as pedagogical director of the DSBU in Bucharest.

I studied at the University of Tübingen and at the University of Cambridge. My subjects of study were German philology, pedagogy and protestant religion. Having taken my first state exam to become a teacher at a secondary school I did my Ph.D. in German literary studies at the University of Tübingen.

I gave lessons and worked as a university lecturer at institutions of higher education in Germany (University of Tübingen, University of Heidelberg), Romania (University of Bucharest) and Egypt (Cairo University).

At the DSBU I take great interest in the education according to the German model (according to the curriculum of Baden-Württemberg) in connection with the concept of intercultural learning and a pedagogical conviction which focuses on the development of the pupil’s personality. I hope to contribute with my work at the DSBU to a successful evolution of this school project.
