Assistant - Kindergarten

Nelly Dinter

After having finished my studies in media science, German literature and modern history on December 15th 2009, I was looking for a job-related challenge abroad..

DinterBecause I was born and grew up in Cottbus (a town in the East of Germany), I have had a close relation to Eastern Europe for a long time. Especially Poland and Romania captured my heart during my travels and my stays – that is why I’m very excited about working in the German School and Kindergarten Bucharest since March 2010. Both are places where international understanding and cultural exchange take place: Romanian, German and children of other nations are brought together there.

Children that are not German native-speakers get a special chance to learn German as their second language in the Kindergarten. I am happy to have got this task besides the educational work in Kindergarten. Daily we practice German by playing, singing, learning rhymes and talking with the children. Thus I want to encourage the children to use the German language by themselves.

In the afternoon I have some German language classes: I teach Romanian children German as well as giving private lessons to German native-speakers. According to the concept of German School and Kindergarten Bucharest I want to support the children’s joy of learning a new language and envelop their own motivation for learning and practicing German.

I am looking forward to having a time full of worthwhile experience and adventures within the German School and Kindergarten Bucharest.
